Kauai is one of the most versatile destinations we’ve visited.
Got an adventurous teenage crew? Pack up the gang to hike the Napali Coast.
Have little ones in tow? Head over to the Kamalani Playground at Lydgate Beach Park.
Ready to do some shopping with your girlfriends? Stock up at Honolua Surf.
No matter what type of vacation vibe you are looking for, Kauai delivers.
Over on Maui, the options are equally impressive. You can’t miss a daytrip over to Molokini Crater for some of the most spectacular snorkeling you’ve ever experienced.
If you are up for a very early morning, sunrise at Haleakala National Park is worth missing a few hours of sleep. Just be sure to dress warm since the wind before sunrise is chilly!
To Eat
You’ll need a caffeine fix to power your adventure-packed day. Our favorite spot on Kauai is Java Kai. Delicious coffee, ricotta pancakes, acai bowls, and more will get your day started with a healthy, delicious meal.
Fresh fish (everyday!) is a must during your trip to Hawaii. One of our favorite spots is the Sleeping Giant Grill with local, fresh caught fish, wraps, and poke. The tuna wrap or fish tacos are the perfect, protein-packed lunch!
Over on Maui, our favorite spot for a leisurely lunch is Maui Brewing Company. Pair craft pizzas, filling salads or the local favorite fish’n’chips with one of their newest brews.
And for a casual lunch spot, you can’t go wrong with fish tacos from Coconut’s Fish Cafe!
To Wear
The sun in Hawaii can be sneakily strong so be sure to pack a hat or two. We adore the Sunshine Tienda sun hats for stylish sun protection.

If you’re going to try your hand at surfing, we recommend a one-piece that hugs in all the right places while you’re learning to read the waves.
