"It's very difficult to launch a new collection during a Quarantine & Global pandemic."
I read this the other day and it's stuck with me. While this suit development process has been a challenge, I didn't even consider that maybe it's MORE difficult during a global pandemic. Sure, it's added a lot of time to this process. Sure, it's made my time less available. Sure, it's caused delays in things that I've already had completed. Sure, it's caused a few mistakes that are costing me a little more money. But for whatever reason, I didn't blame CoronaVirus. I didn't blame my kids. It was simply the way things were happening to keep themselves safe...same as me.
My perspective on this process of bringing a product to market will likely always be warped and I'm grateful that I have nothing to compare to this first launch of my company and product. With my design background and experience, I fully anticipate challenges and delays in my 'perfect' plan, so these delays and bumps in the road didn't come as a big surprise, even without Corona.
So, as you're reading this, I hope this Global pandemic is coming to an end, but I have a feeling that this will create some new normals and will adjust all of our schedules for the next foreseeable future.
