LT Swimwear Travel Destination #3: The nearest lake

LT women are on the move.

From exciting cities like Charleston, SC to lush paradise islands like Maui and Kauai, your adventures take you coast to coast. We love to see our strong, confident and beautiful women enjoying life and travel with swimsuits made to match.

But you don’t have to cash in your frequent flyer miles to enjoy the water. No matter where you live, there’s a lake nearby where you can enjoy watersports and recharge from your busy life.

Here’s a few of our favorite local lakes:

The suits make me feel very comfortable to wear around family or strangers if we are out and about on the lake. I also love the option of the cover up - it’s great to throw on when we eat lunch at restaurants on the lake. - Mary Stuart

Lake Hartwell

A three dollar entry fee to a 56,000 acre lake is tough to beat! Located on the state line between Georgia and South Carolina, enjoy a day on the water and check out one of the small towns on the way home. Anderson, Clemson, Hartwell and Lavonia are all nearby!

“Wakeboarding and surfing are my favorite watersports at Lake Hartwell!” - Ginger

Lake Minnetonka

With endless coves and islands to explore, Lake Minnetonka is the biggest lake in the Twin Cities and a hotspot during the summer months. For meals, keep it casual with a burger at Maynard’s or class it up with a tasty dinner at Lord Fletcher’s.

“99% of the time you will see me in my suits on Lake Minnetonka - swimming, slalom skiing, cannon balls and back flips off the boat! ” - Erica

Lake Murray

Just 20 minutes outside of Columbia, SC, Lake Murray makes for an excellent daytrip. Rent a boat for the day, try out paddleboarding or sailing, or take in the views on a hike. Dreher Island State Park has great beaches and playgrounds for the whole family.

“My favorite summertime activity is playing in the sand and jumping in with the kids!” - Taryn

Lake Chatuge

For our Atlanta and Athens friends, Lake Chatuge is gorgeous anytime of year. Splash in the Towns County Beach before exploring Hamilton Gardens or enjoying the spa at the Brasstown Bald resort.

What to Wear

Lake days are some of the best memories. Spontaneous gatherings with a casual vibe are the best ways to spend a summer day. Here’s what is always in our lake bag:

A one-piece swimsuit. There’s so many fun watersports at the lake - wakeboarding, waterskiing and paddleboarding. Our one piece swimsuits provide maximum versatility so you can be as adventurous or as relaxed as you like.

A sunshirt. There’s nothing worse than a bright red back sunburn from a day on the boat. It’s happened to all of us, especially on those still cool spring days. Grab your sunshirt and you won’t need the aloe tomorrow.

A Turkish towel. These quick dry towels take up barely any room in your bag. Jump in, dry off, spread it out and it’s ready to be used again!
